As a Tax Compliance Specialist at Sentillia, you work alongside our experienced tax professionals. Your role is key within our Finance and Tax departments, involving the analysis of crypto transactions and ensuring the timely and accurate filing of corporate taxes, VAT, withholding taxes, payroll taxes, and various local taxes for the company and our entities across the UAE, UK, Panama, and Europe.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on crypto transactions to ensure full compliance in multiple jurisdictions;
- Prepare and file tax returns across various jurisdictions, including CIT, VAT, and withholding taxes, mostly in the Netherlands but also in Dubai.
- Collaborate with and manage external tax and accounting providers to guarantee accurate fillings and submissions;
- Ensure the correct application of legal compliance frameworks in each specific jurisdiction;
- Reconcile the accounting data with tax returns, ensuring accuracy in all reported tax figures;
- Prepare and organize tax documentation supporting tax filings;
- Support the onboarding process for new countries, ensuring accurate integration into our compliance system;
- Monitor and follow-up on tax refunds, and respond to inquiries from tax authorities;
- Maintain and manage tax records and documents in a complete manner;
- Conducting tax research on local tax compliance regulations to stay updated on the evolving tax landscape for cryptocurrencies;
- Assist the tax team on a wide range of tax-related tasks and projects, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Job requirements
What we expect from you:
- A degree in Tax Law or related field;
- Strong interest in the cryptocurrency industry and taxation;
- At least 2 years of experience in tax compliance, with a solid understanding of Dutch tax regulations;
- Dutch language proficiency;
- Knowledge of tax accounting is highly desirable;
- Team collaboration, especially in a multicultural environment;
- Strong communication skills, with attention to detail;
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite;
